for probably the last 6 months we have been talking about the fact that we could actually see our selves married to one another. We are both divorced, she is 38 and I am 33.We do have alot in common, however she lives in another state,so does age matter?
Help, i am confused....

Age doesn't matter.....what is important is that you love each other. My sister is 10 years older than her husband and they have been married over 30 years and are both very happy. Age is only a state of mind. If you have a lot in common and are happy when you are together, that is what it's all about. I wish you both the best. God be with you both.

I think the "what is cool according to most Americans" list would look something like this:

1. No one over 20 should be dating anyone under 18.
2. If one of the partners is under 30, no more than five or six years should separate the two.
3. If both of the partners are over thirty, but not yet senior (60ish) then a decade is perfectly acceptable.
4. Once both partners are seniors, well, just enjoy the twilight years.

This is just an observation based on the reactions I have seen when ages are involved. I'm not sure how much I agree with it, but it seems to be about what the average American thinks.

I think in anyone's book, the two of you are fine.

Not at 33 and 38. I think you're safe. My mom is 50 and my dad is 58, so I don't think anything is wrong with it.

if you 2 truly are that close, then age shouldnt matter. i could see if you were 13 and she was 18, but you are both adults now. so no, age doesnt matter.

i don't think so. My boyfriend is 37 and I'm 24. We just had a beautiful baby boy. I couldn't be happier. Age is nothing but a number.

Age only matter in two instances...
1. When you care if it matters...
and most importantly
2. When it's illegal.
