What do I mean by the right way? Sadam came on national TV and stated that he had nothing to do with AlQuida, which by the way now has been proven, because he was trying to avoid a war!!!!!!!!! So, 1 we went to war with the wrong country!!!!!!!! 2. When you go to war, you do not ask the UN for their approval, have them deny you any support, then, just go to war anyhow, just because you feel like it....3 If you are going to be that aragont as to do something like that, then when you do go to war, you bomb the **** out of whatever country your going to war with and then get out!!!!!!!!!! Normally when there is a war, it improves our economy, can you tell me one single thing this war has done to benmefit America? And don't tell me we've paid back the terrorists for 9-11, because we haven't, we didn't even attack the right country!!!!!!!!!1

So, because you heard it on national TV it MUST be true? Nothing has been proven, except that no WMD's were found following the war.

Recall that Iraqi MIGs, tanks, and other weapons were "stored" in Iran, a long-time enemy of Iraq, following the first gulf war.

Recall that various WMD stockpiles were "given to Iraq, by the USA, Russia, France, and Germany, prior to the first gulf war/during and before the Iran/Iraq war. (Many of these remain unaccounted for, so can you tell anyone where they are!? If so, start with Michael Moore, Air America, Moveon.org.....ET AL.) Thanks!

P.S. The real question should be "who has them now?"

Grr.. First of all, learn to spell and type correctly. People will not respect your question if you do not state it properly!
As for your question, I am one American who thinks that going to war was not a bad idea (for reasons stated above), but that the planning and strategy could have been better. I'm not a military strategist, but I've read from enough of them to be able to come to the conclusion that this operation was handled in a poor manner. Perhaps this happened because fighting a war/incursion is difficult when being watched and judged by the rest of the world. American troops tried desperately to spare the lives of the Iraqis at our own peril. That is not the way to fight a war. Maybe when we leave and the Iraqis are allowed to maintain order, they'll be able to legitimately kick a** and take names- like we should have done from the start.

Is there such things as a "War done the right way"? We have pioneered the use of WMD and now we feel the right to step in every time someone plans to do the same...I am not even going to get into the legitimacy of Bush's lame claims. "Manifest destiny" is an outdated concept, an outrageous lie born out of religious extremism as rabid and self-righteous as the "infidels" we are condemning.

I don't think there was a right way to do this war!

I saw the posts about WMDs and there was no proof of WMDs. It's all an excuse.

This war has done NOTHING to protect us from terrorism. In fact, it has increased the Middle Eastern's hatred against the U.S. Let's face it, if your country was being attacked by a larger power, would you not defend your country against someone who felt your way of life is wrong. That is why they fight us, because we are telling them our way of life is right for them.

I'm afraid that you are quite confused. The Iraqi incursion had nothing of substance to do with al Qaeda; it was strictly a matter of dealing with Saddam's WMDs, which he was known to have (he used them) and was required to destroy in an accountable fashion (he didn't). In fact, we now know that Saddam was within hours of launching a WMD attack against Israel, and was stopped only by the outbreak of the Gulf war. As for the present whereabouts of the WMD, read the reference and you will find out.

to this point as i'm in touch the conflict on Terror has secure the USA from added assaults. Your ideas-set become tried via Clinton throughout the Nineteen Nineties and ended in an Al Queda attack on us each 15-18 months. And at this factor i could no longer care much less approximately an 'indignant ecu.' to this point as i'm in touch the Europeans proved what style of human beings they are genuinely whilst they valued their bribes from Saddam better than their relationship with us.

first of all learn your history from the previous wars to see why we did this and do this and if you had your freaken mind straight youll know that the house and the senate decided how n where the war was going to be and how they were going to do it. so dont blame nothing on bush ok now that we got that straight this has benefited america because they know not to mess with us think about it if we wouldnt have done nothing then they would be like oh they scared of us they dont care and keep doing what they doing. we got to defend our country and fight for it we also gave the other country their freedom so next time think about the positive things and learn our country's history before you say something negative

My god are you ever off tilt. Get your facts staright.

#1. It was the right country based on the reason sighted in the UN resoltions, you are confused.
#2. The UN resolutions are why we went to war, to enforce them.
#3. You don't destroy an entire country anymore like they did in WW2, you destroy their ability to fight, they did that.

The war is won, its the peace they are now trying to enforce.

"Commander-in-Cheif"

That means he is the boss.

He did it the right way. He told some general to get his *** over there and invade Iraq. And that general made it happen.

That's how it works. It's "callled chain of command."
