in one of the first books of the koran it says something along these lines. "when the white guys attack, fight back, when they are peaceful, be peaceful." also, a peaceful muslim is told to love a peaceful christian. it also recognizes christ as a prophet. it says it is the same god on jesus and moses.
thank you for your time.

No they don't, and that is a shame. The funny thing is: They have a lot more in common with Islam than they do against Islam. I am not Islamic nor am I a card carrying Christian, but I have studied both. Do they realize that Christ is a prophet in the islamic religion? Do they realize that the Old Testament is followed by both muslims and Jews? I think that those bible thumpers would be very suprised to find out how much they have in common, also I think the same goes for the muslims and Jews.

1.The leader of Iran a few years ago placed a fatwa (death sentence) on Salman Rushdie due to what was perceived as an irreverent depiction of the prophet Muhammad.
2. Thousands of Muslims rioted, destroyed property and murdered innocent people because a cartoon of the prophet Muhammad was published in a Danish magazine.
3. A Catholic nun was murdered following a comment made by the pope about how the Islamic religion was seen as violent in the middle ages.
4. 9/11 was orchestrated by Islamic terrorists.
All the above was done in the name of the Koran and Islam.
With so much negative press why would Christians take an interest in a religion that encourages it's followers to hurt others. Christianity teaches us entirely the opposite.

Only that they like to blow us up. Does the Islam nation actually know about Christians? I think we know about them as they know about us, through propaganda by our respective governments. I am sure if a bunch of Christans and a bunch of Islams got together for a pool party, we would all have a good time. It's our churches and governments that make us hate each other. For me I would love to just have some islams over for beer and steaks. We would hang out, hit on some women, and drink some beers. That's good times.

Probably not. Do the majority of islam followers know a single thing about Christianity? But I believe it is good to learn about many different religions.

You betcha! I know that Islam is a violent "religion" and if it was not cloaked with the word "religion" it would be considered worse than a criminal operation.
Just look at the news. One sect of Islamists killing the other sect...in the name of Allah. Wow. I was told it is the religion of peace. A more appropriate description would be a religion of piece...as in if you do not believe the way I do...I will blow you up into tiny pieces or I will cut your head off.
Hope this helps.

"I saw people protesting in Pakistan it looked American but it was terrorist"
Actual quote from a republican. This is the best insight into Islam I've heard from the right so far.
