Did you notice the frame of mind that the left wing commislamic fascist liberals have? In their answers, they immediately start telling you the REASONS that they would CUT & RUN instead of "doing the right thing". Some of them-the sons & daughters of the Bushes and other wealthy people would not serve so why should they, this is Bushes unjust war so why should they die, they would not feel that they were defending their country if they had to fight in Iraq, and so forth. Aren't you glad that this attitude was not prevelent after Pearl Harbor? I wonder how many would cut and run for Canada if there was a foreign nation unloading troop ships off the coast of California. Sure makes you feel confident that we would put up a fight, doesn't it? No wonder our enemies think we are paper tigers. Not one of the answers mentioned that if the draft was started that it is an OBLIGATION for everyone eligible to serve. They also seemed to think that by going in to the military was the same thing as dying. Wimps and whiners.

You are implying the 'right thing' is to get drafted? We will assume then that you are already enlisted since you are so ready to die for a president that started and continued a war that only 30% of the people want? What, are you nuts? By the way, just because I am not ready to be drafted and would go elsewhere does not make me any less of an American than you. I would die for the country if there were legitimate reasons - oil, make believe terrorists in Iraq, blowing up Iran and N Korea - those are not legitimate reasons. We have nuclear bombs and had 9/11, the Chinese have nuclear bombs and have Taiwan, the Russians have nuclear bombs and have Checnya, the Israelis have nuclear bombs and the Palestinians, Iranians and Syrians - the Indians have nuclear bombs and so do the Pakistanis. So if you think nuclear bombs are a reason to go to war, well, they certainly have not served as a deterrent in any of the above situations, have they? Will the daughters of Bush be eligible to be drafted? What about Rumsfelds or Cheneys grandkids? And if the war is so righteous, why aren't any of them over there now? So before you start sacrificing MY life and everyone else of draft age, I will certainly MAKE you prove it is for the necessary protection of the USA within the USA, and not somebody else's desire to be king of the world - got it? The idiotic right wingers said the same thing about Vietnam as you are saying here - before I lose family and friends again for no reason but your pride, I will fight YOU.

First of all I am over the draft age and probably would not pass the physical anyway, also I have already served voluntarily. If I were drafted 10 years or more ago I would have served my country, my father and step-father went to Vietnam and all 3 of my grandfathers were in WW2 with one in Korea. I would follow family footsteps. If you are that much of a chicken sh*t to go to Canada you should just go now. Mexico will send you back to the U.S. if you are a draft dodger.

So far, the maximum age is 41.

I'm 52 and already served my country and enlisted in the Vietnam era, and was Honorably Discharged.

I doubt they would draft me but if the age did go up and they started drafting disabled people I would certainly do my duty.

I would rather like to see the Bush twins be drafted first though.

They are young and some say they are quite the whippersnappers.

It would probably get them away from being the alcoholic drug addicts that they are now too.

The right thing...I love it...the right thing according to whom...??

You know what...let's have a draft and watch how quickly our senseless military adventures stop once everyone's son and daughter can be led to the slaughter.

And you will have to draft young women you know. We can't discriminate based on gender. Welcome to the new world.

So let's do it.

If no deferments are granted for school, marital status, or who you know, most of the lefties will boogie to Canada.... and hopefully, NEVER come back to infest this nation again.

If it's not something we belive in it shouldn't be, it's stupid to do that alot of people are being killed as it is, I'm a mother of two son's their dads in Iraq, it would be stupid for me to go and leave my two son parentless. I'm not a slave to this government, I would leave this country.

The only ones who would leave are the cut and run liberals. To me that alone is a damn good reason to start the draft.

Those of us who will not fight for this country let them leave, they do not deserve to be here anyhow and we'd be better off without them.
