I would think that any classical composer would take the cake on that, most have thousands of albums, but as for current artists, Johnny Cash has got a hundred or so differant albums, including various CDs

Have a look at a chick named Ani Defranco, she does spoken word songs, very political. Im pretty sure she's done way over 12 CD's, she keeps pumping them out year after year.

I can't say but a good guess would be Louis Armstrong or Duke Ellington. They both had long careers that lasted decades.
