I am an undergrad reading technical material that seems to only be capable of being understood by a graduate or professor. I am having a hard time reading it and it is for my job. It took me 4 hours to read 10 pages, that is how difficult this is. I had to go back and re-read paragraphs several times and I got easily distracted (and I am not ADD!). I don't want to disappoint my employers.
What can I do? (BTW, it is physics/chemistry material)

I am not supposed to say this, but taking an ADD drug like adderall will make you read the article tremendously quickly. It is very sad that I should have to say this, and I have only done it once myself, but it will make the article just fly by, and you will understand most of it too. Just don't get into the habit, that's all.

Read it slowly and sentence by sentence. Read this kind of material as if it were a foreign language that you were translating. If there are words you don't understand, write them down and look them up. Try to see if you can paraphrase
what is being written in terms that any person could understand.
When you can do that, then you truly understand it. Sometimes, however, technical articles are not particularly well written and are confusing. In that case, you just have to struggle through them the best you can.

Good luck in your reading.

I purely examine a million/2 of this in the previous I have been given somewhat bored, sorry. a number of your references are incorrect even with the incontrovertible fact that, be advantageous to make the noninsignificant differentiation between BGH, a clearly occuring hormone that cows produce so as to produce milk, and rBGH or recombinant bovine growth hormone, the lab-produced hormone that's injected into cows so as to improve their milk production. Oh, and human beings drink goat's milk and sheep's milk, too, and characteristic for 1000's of years. there are in all probability different animals that are milked, too. additionally, i've got seen person cats and canines drink milk, truthfully knocking the right off of the colostrum milk field interior the barn so as that they might attain the milk. It became very almost rather sturdy, yet your sources weren't all precisely on. once you're turning that in the process for credit, which you need to to double examine those.
