Ban is not straight away. Singapore, when caught by traffic police, a breathler test need to be taken on the spot to see if ur alcohol level is high, then remanded to the police station to be bailed out. And court hearing will be scheduled for the charges to be read out then see the sentence to pass lightly like ban from driving for 2 years, or ban n heavy fine incurred.

I would sober up and then get a lawyer, instead of posting on the internet.

Kudos on your level of confidence though. Obviously, if you were really good at driving while drunk, you wouldn't have gotten caught.

That's a good idea.

By the same token - if you commit murder whilst drunk, can you be tested to see if you can complete the rest of your life without killing anyone whilst sober. If you get through life without murdering anyone else you should be let off the earlier crime, as you were obviously too drunk to know what you were doing?

Each state or country has its own rules and laws concerning drunk driving. I do not want to be on the roads with people who are drinking and driving and do not want my life endangered because of it. If you are stupid enough to drink and drive, you should have your license taken away immediately. No one has the right to endanger other peoples lives because of the misuse of alcohol.

No, they should give you a couple of more shots for the road and then strap you in a zorb ball (actually strapping is optional) and roll you down the highest hill. If you don't cover yourself in vomit then you can keep your licence. If you vomit your licence is permanently revoked never to see the light of day again.
