When you go to buy the fluid, ask the man at the parts counter if he has a book showing capacities. Chances are he does.

If your transmission and torque converter are completely empty then they will hold 11 to 12 qts, but if not, then around 7 qrts for a fluid and filter change. ASE Master Tech for 15 yrs.

Its in your manual under specifications. If you dont have it call the service department at chevy mon morning. Think its about 7 but i dont remember for sure.

7 qts i think but you shoul be able to refer to the capacities section of your owners manuel or call your local gm dealer they should redily tell you

5 quarts unless your draining the torque converter
