1. you can visualize your own "book" world instead of being shown what someone else thinks it looks like and you can form your own opinions as to the writers intent instead of viewing someone else's interpretation.
2. you usually get the entire story if you read the book unedited or unabridged as opposed to seeing an hour and a half of the highlights of the story.
3. books are also great for those of us that have other things to do than sit for a few hours. you can put down a book when you need to do something and pick it up when you are done..no missing anything. it waits for you

1. You can make the characters appearance pleasing to you in your mind.

2. You can have any song as the soundtrack to a book.

3. Books are usually cheaper than the movies, and provide more enjoyment for your buck.

1.More time to build Character , 2.Leaves things more to the imagination like what characters sound like or look like sometimes 3., and I guess that it will also improve your reading ability along with grammar and spelling witch will help in the long run. I do not read. I have only read like 1 cheaper book in my life in school back in grade like 4.
