I answered " Only on bowling nights." Was this the right answer? It seemed like a rather personal question.

I don't see anything wrong with that. I had the same question once on an application. Where it said "sex______".....I said yes. It was then followed by a blank that said, "Height________." so I put........ "In an airplane at about 30,000 feet."

I didn't get that job. I still haven't figured out why.

This is serious. I had a person fill out an application and where it says "Number to call in case of emergency" He wrote "911". I laughed for a hour until I realized that was truly the best answer and number.

Darn too bad you turned that application back in .... because it is illegal for an employer to discriminate on the basis of sex ..therefore that question would never be on a job application... you could have sued for millions .... sorry about your luck.

The application was asking you whether you were male or female.

When you are asked for your sex, they want to know if you are male or female. For statistical and civil right schuff reasons.
