to be a good friends or keep them dont not to say nasty stuff about them behind there back no teasing keep there seacrets dont blab ur moulth to the world unless it is a bad seacret were someone or they might get hurt then talk to them or a trusted adult treat them like u would like to be treated and no swearing hitting or just being plan mean and that is what a good trusted friend would be.

Always be honest with them...about yourself....and about them.
Show them they mean something to you......don't just tell them.
I'm not talking material things here.....doing something to help them out, taking their dog for a walk when they have something else to do....water their plants, wash their car.....take them to the doctor if their car is in the shop.....lend them that sweater they like..........be a kind person....and show them that they matter to you.
I recently had two friends, fly cross country so that we could have a *girls week* and it was the little things we did for each other. I made coffee for them.....made sure to have something they like to eat in the house.
Without discussing it beforehand, we each got something for the other. I gave them both bracelets.....one gave two of us necklaces and the other one then got two of us bracelets.
Its the little things, the everyday things that mean as much as anything else....

1. always be there for them (via phone or in person)
2. be patient if they are going through major life transitions (marriage, moving, new job)
3. forgive their little problems (as they are overlooking yours)
4. make fun memories!
5. love, learn and laugh with them!

just being honest to them and to yourself. Friends are friends, and definitely not everybody can be friends. Sometime we forgot that one true friend is much beter than hundreds enemy who act like a friend.

-Don't lie to them
-Don't date their boy/girlfriend
-Know when to bite your tongue
-Don't take them for granted
-You don't have to offer advice when they just need someone to talk to.
