This works great, and causes to long lasting harm: Go to the pharmacy and purchases "powdered Ipecac".
Take the powdered Ipecac (this product is sold solely to induce vomiting), and put it in a small baggy; the sort drugs come in.
Put it in your safe, or somewhere that makes it appear it is hidden.
Chances are, your roommate will think they have struck gold, and proceed to "snort" the powdered Ipecac. The greedier they are, the more they will snort. Ipecac works within minutes. Your roommate should be puking their guts out in no time.
You can also purchase empty gel capsules at the health food store. Fill up several of these with the Ipecac, and put those in a baggy. Once again, they should be puking their guts out.
If you really want to annoy this person; go to the joke store and purchase "Itching powder". This is made from the hair or dandruff of Tarantulas. Sprinkly this on their sheets, in their underwear drawer, etc.
One important note; don't give yourself away by laughing. Just act nonchalant, or better yet, concerned.
Good luck, and have fun.

blackmule - good answer! But think about it, the other person could take the pills, become sick, and report the one questioning for help.
Go to the dean, or the local police.. but why not also call attention to the problem by speaking with her parents.
Setting up the video camera is a wonderful idea! Get one that's small, like those used to view the baby sitter.

It's pretty simple. since the police can't help, then you have to go to whoever is the authority over the dormitory or wherever you are living and ask that the roommate be evicted. If that cannot happen, then your only option is to move out. Too bad if you already paid for the room. Is it worth the price to put up with this?

For one thing you can not put a video camera up unless you own your apartment/house it is the law. For your roomate taking your medicine, go to the counselor at the school and ask her advice if anything they can do a drug test on them. if they medication shows up they will find out were she had gotten it from. Other wise confront her, take documantaion of everything, and ask her if she has been taking them, that if she needed them she should have just asked but at the same point have a couple of your friends nearby to wittness what she says. Have another good friend keep them in there room or something.

Just insist to the RA or campus advisors that you paid money to live in a safe environment, and you do not feel secure in the room you are in. Request a different room of the same stature and don't let up until you get results. Good luck to you.

Go to the campus housing office and ask for a room transfer. Tell them what is going on and show them your police reports. Tell them you don't want to sue but you will if you have to because they are not providing you with a safe place to live.

The best thing for you to do would be to move out if she is acting like that. Go to your campus housing authorities and let them know about the problems, file a police report, and kick rocks.

There has to be a counselor at your school that deals with problems. If your roomate is stealing meds 2 problems exist:
1. She's not suitable for student housing and should be kicked off campus.
2. She needs drug abuse help.

This needs to be reported to your local police and your prescription insurance company as well, they will require that you have a report filed before they will allow you to refill your medications since you will obviously run out before your alotted time. Stealing prescription medications is a feloney offense, it is also extremely dangerous since many drugs have side effects and interactions that may be detrimental to your roomates health. I have been a pharmacy technician for 6 years and I have seen plenty of this, you need to report this immediatly to the police.

I agree, call the city police and also contact the dean in charge of the dorms.
I had a psycho roommate in college also. There were 3 others besides me (not counting the crazy chic) that resided in this on campus dorm/apartment. we finally all wrote letters to the dean and she was removed from our unit.
Good luck with it all. i know it is alot of hassle and I'm orry that you are going through this. Hang in there!
