If you're talking a country bar, don't go to the Rawhide unless you're gay. Went there when I was in grad school, got a beer and went to the dance floor where these guys were dancing toe to toe. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

If you mean traditional country ,hillbilly, twang , bluegrass, western swing,american roots music - that stuff all thrives in the bay area live music scene.For that kind of music go to the website "hicks with sticks"
If you mean mainstream country pop like um , toby keith or whatever then I thinkyou are outta luck.
