There's been talk already. Dan Marino picked them as the best team in the AFC last week, and most other sportscasters are putting them in the top 5. It's harder to get on board with a team that has a rookie (sort of) QB. Slowly but surely people are starting to come around, it's impossible to deny the talent on this team.
For wcbaseball4: Rivers had his breakout game against Pittsburgh, a team with a very good defense. Will he throw 40 times a game like he did today? No, the Chargers have too good of a running game for that, they can play to their opponents weakness. But to say that Roethlisberger is one in a million is just wrong, Rivers has better numbers than Rotty did in his first year, and so far has been asked to do more for his team. The kid's unflappable.

I think because it's a small market team, but I don't care I know we have the best team, with the best player of the league, L.T. a young promising quarterback, River,s and an "excellent ensemble cast" Antonio Gates, Shawne Merriman, Luis Castillo, Keenan McCardell, Michael Turner just to name a few.
They will talk aboput them comming the playoffs.

I hear you my brother, do you live on the east coast?. I just came over here to Calif from Charlotte n.c, and I can't see a panther game on the box, and I'm sure we will go to the super bowl this year. They do discriminate even on the different coasts about who they favor and who is broadcast ed even though they are the best in their league.

No...no they wont. But they are impressive. They really need to be talking about the SD Chargers defense more than anything. But in reality Rivers is to young and inexperienced to win the "big" games. He only gets to open the offense up and do well against very bad defenses (like San Fran) but in big games against very good teams, you cant count on a guy that young and inexperienced, Roethlisberger was one in a million.

They talk about controversial topics. The Chargers don't create enough Jerry Spinger like topics for them to be mentioned.

Probably because they are 4-1 but 3 of those wins were against really poor teams (Oakland, Tenn, and SF). They lost to a good Balt team but beat a down Pittsburgh. That 4-1 record is deceiving, they are not that good and it will show up down the road.
