I don't like the pressures of society that everyone has to have a successful career. I want to enjoy life with the one I love.

No one is going to save you. You have to take responsibility for your own actions. It may take a while, and it will probably suck the whole time, but you will feel a lot better about yourself if you work hard and straighten out your own life. As for being with the one you love, of course you should. Don't let any one tell you otherwise.
I assume it is legal for you to do so of course....

Being saved is a nice idea, it's why sometimes soldiers on the battlefield cry mommy when they are dying. But there is no savior. Stand up. Take charge of your life. DIY (Do it yourself)
Sometimes people say "I can't just walk away" Yes you can.
"I can't look for a new job now", "I can't go to school now", "I'm too old". Yes you can and no you aren't.
"But I'll never love like this again" Yes you will.
Act, don't react. Go girl.

Nope! Nothing is going to happen unless you get off your caboose and get to work. You are not a victim and will learn that life's all about choices.
Get busy and start working towards your goals, or they will never be achieved.
