Hi! My lashes have thinned as I get older. The BEST thing is ; first use a eyelash curler and the prime lashes with eyelash primer--my favorite is Clinique primer and black mascara. It is one stick with primer on one side and mascara on the other. Let the primer dry 1 min. then apply mascara. You won't believe how much volume you get-Amazing! Another great mascara is Merinesse from Australia. It has been rated the best in beauty circles. You can find it on HSN.com I use and love both! At night don't put any oil on your lashes especially petroleum products or anything with mineral oil. Contrary to most beliefs, these 2 humenctants (which suck moisture from air) can also suck moisture from new layers of skin and age the area. Humenctants can temporarily make something look more suptle but don't use on regular basis. The best cosmetics don't have those products in the first 3 ingredients. Never use a regular soap on face, especially Ivory, they contain lye and will age you and lashes. Use low ph shampoo to shower and cleanse with especially if you tan or out in sun. So, take off eyemake-up with a cleansing cream or I use Cortisone plus aloe cream to take off my makeup. Then use washcloth to cleanse. My eyelashes are healthy and look great. Wish You Luck sweetie!

I have thin ones as well, I have also posed for photography before. here is the key yo faking it.
1) a primer
ususally a primer is a white top coat before the black mascara orbrown is applied.
2) hot eye lash curler after the primer drys
If you dont have an electric on use your hair dryer for 3 seconds and be careful
3) mascara, any kind really the primer takes care of the rest!

try Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara....it helps make lashes fuller and longer.
Another trick is to apply a dusting of dark eyeshadow to your lashes after the first coat of mascara and then following with a second coat of mascara.
