You should not have any popups with a popup manager in a toolbar. If you do you are probably still infected with spyware. Try an online scan www.ewido.com or download and run adaware.
Adding another popup manager will make little difference. You should also turn off the windows messenger service (which has been done if you installed XP SP2). That service controls the popups on the local network.

Like, use a good antivirus and antispyware utilities and keep them up to date, run Windows Update automatically and make sure it's up to date and has installed all critical updates.
You have SPYWARE, no kidding!!
Install the Microsoft popup blocker for IE and keep it turned on, learn how to use it's exceptions list properly and never turn it off.
OR
You could just go buy a Mac and turn popups off in Safari/Camino/OmniWeb and then never worry about any of the rest of it ever again.

The only pop-up blocker you need is the one that comes with your Yahoo tool bar. If you have a Yahoo account and have not installed the tool bar yet, do so. The only way you can get pop-ups when you are not on line is if they are all ready contaminating your hard drive. Get and install (in this order, so they don't conflict on install) AVG from grisoft, Zone Alarm, Ad-aware, Spybot search and destroy, Spywareblaster and a Host file. All free, all can be gotten from several places on the net except Zone Alarm. You have to get that direct from Zone Alarm.com and start with the Y/tool bar first. AVG is one of the best if not the best free virus scanner, Zone Alarm is a great fire wall and the rest to block everything else. OH... and turn off monkysofts blocker in Windows...it sucks.

Most popups are caused by spyware programs that have been installed on your computer. These spyware programs can get installed on your computer from a variety of different ways. The most common way they can get installed is from downloading "free" programs. The spyware can be downloaded with these programs without you ever knowing that they are there.

For free, you can do it by downloading the Yahoo toolbar and activate the pop up blocker and spy-ware program that comes with it for FREE, as I said. Do it and if that does not satisfy you look into Norton anti-virus or other reputable security programs. Go to www.pcworld.com and look in their Software reviews and you will find there very good info and advise.
Good luck

You will be happy to know your PC is infected with spyware! Download spybot search and destroy, spyware blaster, adaware or some other removal tool! If you are lucky enuff to get this crap out of your system, you might consider what causes it and how you got it in the first place!
