Yes, it's forever and if you change your mind, and WHEN fashions change, you are stuck with it.

Think it through.

I had it done two years ago. It's like a tatoo. It's uncomfortable having it done. They use a topical gel to make it comfortable for you. It is not forever. Mine has faded quite a bit. I won't do it again only because I had it done when we got a lakehouse and I was in the water all the time and I need something on my eyes.
The instrument looks like a thick pen and sounds like a tatoo needle. You will be swollen afterwards for a few days. You have to keep using ice to keep the swelling down. Then you use something like Neosporin so it doesn't get crusty. The end result is great. How's that?

Not attractive, and sure won't be attractive on you 40 years from now. Basically a tattoo, that you cannot remove. I know two women that have had it done, one I saw the other day for the first time in 4 years. She had her eyes done about 13 years ago, still looks overly done, almost trashy. She's now almost 60 so it ain't pretty.

Don't.
Just don't.
just use eyeliner, or a dark mascara.
You don't need permanent eyeliner.

All I know is that I have seen some older women with permanent makeup they had done in their younger years, and it looks awful and tacky. Highly NOT recommended.
