heat and tylenol. i'm also carrying twins but i'm only 10 weeks (overweight also) and my back hurts already. its still that achy, pms-y ache, but uncomfortable nonetheless. you poor thing.
the rice packs are really good as well. if you dont have a pouch, you can use an insulated sock. the grey ones with the red top? fill it with uncooked rice, tie the end in an knot, pop it in the mic & AWWW...great. i used these when i wasnt pregnant, they work very well.

I have 4 children, and with each I experienced this. Now, after my last pregnancy being over 3 years ago now, I get 0 relief from my back pain. I think I may have messed up the muscles back there, or have a pinched nerve, but I did experience this, and used heating pad, only on one side at a time, then ice sometimes, hot baths/showers, I really feel for you.

I to have back pains and I do go twice a week to have my back cracked. I was in a bad accident a year ago so it is all paid for however some days when I can't get there or for what ever reason I can't make my treatment my doctor recommends a cold pack or a hot pack but higher up on your back you don't want to harm the baby. also you need to lay on your side and have your spouse or friend rub your back in small circles but not to hard as it could cause the nerves in your back to tense up more. always sleep with a pillow in between your legs and lots of comfort around your body. good posture early in pregnancy is the best for later on. I am 34 weeks now and I know what you are talking about just try and get active a little walking each day will help also trust me keep it moving good luck to you

momshop.com
It showed some belts as low as twenty dollars it may be good for you to do this. Good luck and i hope you get to feeling better. Have someone to take some warming oil and massage your back, I always had to set in a warm bath for about an hour and just relax

If you have access to a feed barn - buy some chicken feed, sew a felt pouch that can hold about 4/5 cups, about 10 inches squared - put it in the micro for about 3 minutes then put it on your back! Awwww!!
My boobs were big to begin with but when I got pregnant they grew even bigger - my back was killing me so my Mother in law made me a few of these and I loved them.
My son is now two and I still use them!
BTW - My mother in law heats one up before bed and puts it way under her covers to keep her toes warm all night.
hmmm - think I'll go heat mine up right now!!
Good luck!

backache is normal during pregnancy. your body is trying to change the center of gravity for balance. avoid leaning forward, bend on your knees and not on your waist. avoid standing for long periods of time, do not wear heels. place a pillow on the left side of your hip when lying supine or lie in a left lateral position.
