Any medication you take during a pregnancy could potentially harm a foetus. The only medication for pain that is safe during pregnancy is Acetaminophen (Tylenol, Entrophen...) Aspirin could cause you to bleed; and Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or Naproxen (Aleve) are anti-inflammatories and could create heart defects in your baby. As for sleeping aids, they are often anti-histamine medication, and they are also counter-indicated during a pregnancy. Please tell your physician or a pharmacist of any medication you need, they will recommend alternate treatments.

certain drugs are harmfull at different stages of pregnancy. Please check with your doctor as taking anything during pregnancy could be dangerous. My child has AD/HD and many learning difficulties because I continued to have periods during the first 4 months of my pregnancy and took medication for cramps. Learn from my mistake and talk to your doctor....I didn't even know I was pregnant and damaged my child for life...
