What are your thoughts on mosh pits?

I love mosh pits? Do you.if u do what do u like about them? If not, what don't you like about them?
P.S. I broke my collar bone and arm at a Norma Jean concert in the mosh pit. :)

Well expect when you wear flips flops and get crushed by a 45 year old man that is pushing you up to the railing..then not so fun,well kinda :)

and if the band is pretty lame..the mosh pit isnt going to be that great,but if the bands are kick ***...the mosh pits are freaking awesome.

It depends on the crowd. Moshing is NOT trying to be the baddest mother out there, nor is it trying to knock everybody down and hurt them. A real mosh pit is just a bunch of people squeezed together due to lack of room, jumping around like crazy. If you run into someone, that’s cool. If you start pushing and trying to prove how big you are, that’s not. I hate the “mosh pits” that form at local concerts, where the drunk guys go out, tear off their shirts, and start pushing each other to the ground. Those are even worse than the guy who thinks he’s cool doing Tae Kwan Do kicks.

Mosh pits are stupid and really ruin a good show. Think about it, there are some people there who just want to see their favorite group, and have a peaceful, good time. Music is wonderful, I myself am a music fan, it helps me though my day and life. But I belive in respecting those around me. If you like mosh pit's so much, become a wrestler! HA! HA!

Mosh pits can be the funnest thing in the world.
Always wore my steel toe boots and prefer going upstream around the outside with an occasional dive to the middle. its the best way to make your way to the front of the stage and great exercise. can't be afraid of sweat(yours or others).
been in pits for all kinds of bands-from the beastie boys(friendliest) to Slayer(most violent).
those stupid girls that line the pit are just asking for trouble(excitement) so any complainers should just move to the back of the room--look around and figure out where you are.
Over all every one in the pit is cool except for the occasional jock/dumbsh!t,but they get found out and taken care of eventually--seen it happen many times and i still think its funny.
Get in the Pit and come out sweaty.
And to all you dumbsh!ts that answered above--the pit is not for FIGHTING, its is for a rollicking good time that happens to get physical--you'll get yours if you keep it up.

Mosh pits look like they could be fun, but unfortunately there's always going to be the types that ruin it for everyone.

I know you're going to laugh at me because I'm an aging hippie, but love-ins were great until they became meeting places for the wrong types who just wanted to sell drugs or meet young girls to take advantage of.

Hope your shoulder heals nicely. All the bones I broke riding motorcycles (alright, crashing motorcycles) now have DJD (a form of arthritis). Work out that shoulder regularly until it's like new again.

To me, mosh pit is to kick the **** out of a complete stranger or if your not ready your on the shitty end of the stick and on the ground! Its a safe place to fight and have fun without getting arrested! ..... or just jump around and see who you can piss off! Ill be in one come Nov 17 at Planet Fest in Jacksonville Fl.

moshpits are fun as hell i went to a paramore concert butmy dumbass brought flip flops i lost one and got stepped on but at least when we moshed we got closer to the front :P
