March of 2005 was the first time this song was performed by Diamond Rio at a concert in Las Vegas. They received an immediate resounding standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it! At the time, my thought was, "Everyone who loves America will be so thrilled to hear this song!" Turn your speakers on and Click on the Attachment....Although Diamond Rio has never before done a statement song, they felt compelled to record "In God We Still Trust." But guess what? Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered politically incorrect. Consequently, the song was never released to the public.
So, America, see what you think. If this offering speaks to your heart and you feel to share it with friends and loved ones, please do. Many of us feel great concern with the movement of a dissident minority to eliminate God from the face of America. If they succeed, it will destroy the very principles upon which our nation was founded.

Are we going to allow this to happen? What would that be like? More importantly..how would you feel?
Regardless of our ethnic origin, let us cease being the silent majority and join together. Not as a particular political party, but as Americans! Let us voice to the media and the powers that be how we feel about having God erased from everything that is sacred to us. If we don't do it, who will?

Yes. In America, you have the right to have an opinon, but you do not have the right to have it heard. Liberals need to learn this. Also, you do not have the right to not be offended. Liberals do not understand this at all.
Not only that, but the "seperation of church and state" crap is a perversion of the 1st Amendment, which states the government shall not establish a national religion nor prohibit the free exercise thereof. This means that kids can pray in school. This means that a valedictorian can use God in their speech. I think we should make the ACLU an illegal gang.
I am sick of the way liberals pervert the Constitution, use the courts to pass laws that a majority of Americans disagree with.
BTW, since someone will bring it up, I do not belong to a church, but I understand that Chistian values are the foundation of our government and society. By us moving away from them, we have started a lot of the problems we face today.

God does not trust us until He proves us to be trustworthy even under life and death situations. If He trusted all He loves, which is everybody, we would be in deep sh**. We don't even trust ourselves. We do things that are unbecoming at times in our lives. Some people, He can trust, but that's pretty rare. He calls us to not be jealous and suspicious of each other. God is not suspicious of us, but we get tested by some very hairy things on this earth. He asks us to trust Him, that He knows what He is doing. That in itself is a very open place. Open to His call in whatever it is, open to His guidance and power and protection. Obedient to His word. He has complete control at that point. We give up our will totally, knowing that His will is greater, more fantastic, 1000+ times more glorious than our imaginations can imagine. Beyond words. But only when we give up our puny little ideas about what we wanted. He is not limited except by our choices. Imagine, if you weren't limited in any way! Would you check out all those people that were limited, and tell them, "Hey, just trust me, I know what's going to happen in the future, or what would happen if you chose this or that" People would look at you pretty funny like, and say that they want their choice because that's freedom, and all men need freedom, right? You would just walk away in frustration, and say, "There is so much more out there, but you just don't trust me to give it to you." Man ties God's hands just by not trusting Him.

Sister, America has seperation of church and state, and we should do EVERYTHING we can do seperate church and state.. not just church.. mosque, synagogue, and all of that.. religion shouldn't play a role in our government.
and just so you know.. the "in god we trust" things on the dollar bills and pennies are actually new.. the original pennies and dollars didn't have that. same with the anthem.
and we weren't found by christianity.. we were founded by people who just so happened to be christian. but we can't say "oh, they're christians, so our nation was created on christianity bases" because if that was the case then hitler was a christian, so um... was nazi germany created by christianity bases when they killed jews? didn't think so.

Yes. And the courts have determined it does not violate the constitution. And it would be good for people to take note that God is even mentioned in the Declaration of Indpendence.

Religion has no proper part in any activity fostered by the government -- that is what the Bill of Rights means. In private activities, of whatever nature, the sponsors are totally at liberty to include god or not as they please. It follows from this that references to god should not be in the Pledge of Allegiance, or on US currency.

And I still get goose bumps every time I hear the song...
