If you keep it at a boarding stable they usually take care of the basics(AM PM grain, hay, putting the horse out, mucking out stall, etc.)
If you plan to keep it at home, here yah go... stats for one horse...
15min(EARLY LIKE 5:30AM) AM grain, hay, and put out to pasture(paddock) with hay
45min-1hr(less once you can go quicker)- Fill water buckets in stall and in pasture, put hay and PM grain in stall, clean stall and put in new shavings(this takes quite a bit of time to go through an entire stall!)
5min-bring horse in from paddock
The above means you have less than 5min of actual contact with the horse a day. Not that exciting.
When you get ready to ride...
5min-pick hooves
5min-brush body, face, legs
5-10min(depending on snarls and condition)-brush mane&tail
10min-Polo wraps on(I ALWAYS use these!)
5min-Saddle pad, saddle, bridle on
After riding
5min-untack and remove polo wraps
(When it's cold out put a cooler on over the saddle as you take the bridle off. leave it on until the horse has cooled)
5min-quick brushdown to smooth out dried sweat spots
If neccesary and temp. permits-15-20min hose off
Now, the things below are not things you neccesarily need to do everyday, but keep the horse looking nice
30 min-1hr- Pulling mane and cutting bridle path
15min-banging tail
1hr(or so)-Good bath, shampoo ENTIRE horse(there are special shampoos you can use for the head if you so desire), shampoo mane and tail, condition tail.
DO NOT put conditioner anywhere besides the tail(and mane if ABSOLUTELY neccesary). This makes the saddle slip(the conditioner makes the tail "silky") and that is not good.
Email me if you have more thing you need times for!

First-We feed around 30 horses in the barn I help out. We give everyone hay, grain, and beet pulp, and then turn them out once there done eating.
Second-We (me and usually around 2 other people) begin to muck out the stalls and lay down the shavings.
Third-We clean up the barn asile and what not and by now its noon or one! We put everything away and fill and clean the water buckets that arnt automatic.
Fourth-Around 4:30ish we bring in all the horses, then feed agien and straighten up agien. Finally were done with basic stuff!
*For one stall it would probably take 5-20 minites, feeding maybe 5 minites, watering maybe 5 minites, and turn out and in all together 10 minties maybe depending on how far away the paddock is. Hope this was of some help!

In the mornings it takes about 30 minutes to feed and water, wouldn't take as long but I empty the old water rinse the trough and refill it, then about another 30 minutes letting them loose to go out to the pasture this is when I watch and check for anything different. Then about an hour to clean out stalls and get them ready for the night so two hours in the morning. In the evenings we ride for about 2 hours, then about an hour brushing them out and picking their hooves before putting them back in the stalls, then another 30 minutes to feed and give their treats. I have saved time with hay because we keep round bales out in the pasture so no distributing it out. Horses are a lot of fun but if you care for one right it is also time consuming. They don't have to be rode daily but you need to ride them often or you can create problems.

When I was at a partial care facility, I was responsible for doing my own stall daily. It usually took me about 15 minutes to thoroughly clean it and rebed. On average, I spent about 30 minutes grooming and tacking up, 30min-2 hours (depending on what we were doing) working my horse, then about 30 min to cool down/hose off the horse. Afterwards, I handwalk/graze them for at least 15minutes. Overall, I'd say three hours to do a good job.

I board my gelding now but I used to have 3 at home. They were turned out all day but in their stalls at night.

My routine was:

Measure out their grain - 1 minute
Give grain to all of them and (while they are eating) checking everybody out quickly for anything out of the ordinary - 5 minutes
Open up doors to outside and distribute flakes of hay - 4 minutes
Check stock tanks for fullness and no foreign objects- 2 minutes
Refill water buckets while picking up stalls - 10 minutes
Dump manure on manure pile - 4 minutes
Secure barn back up - 2 minutes

So it would take me about a half hour in the morning to care for 3 horses.

Evening chores took about the same time minus the picking up of stalls.

Chores in summer were also much quicker then chores in winter as we had no running water in the barn in winter and had to bring warm water down from the house.

Then I had to strip 3 stalls every 2 weeks. That would take me about 45 minutes per stall to take all the dirty bedding out, put PDZ stall refresher down and put 3 bags of bedding back in.

Then you have your pasture maintenance, picking up manure, checking/fixing fences, trimming trees, etc.

Then your grooming.

Then if you have any time left after all that you can go RIDING!!!!

I own 2 arabian horses. It doesn't take me very long at all to feed them. I go and pen up one and then feed the other one. Then feed the one that I penned up and I am done.

well my routine starts off taking them out to run. then i clean their stalls. after that then i get each one and work him for about 1 hr each . i have 9 horses and it will take me from 9am till 7pm to do all my riding and cleaning, feeding, and just caring for them all. it also depends on how many horses you have that will determine how long it will take you to care for your horse. the more horses you have the longer it will take you to care for them in a day.

For the morning, my routine is feeding and as they are eating, I halter them, tie them to the fence and groom them (checking for any sore spots or cuts or breaks in their hooves) before letting them go free. I clean out their stalls of their urine and any poop piles which is rare for the time being, winter will be another story as they will poo in their stalls where they sleep atI watch them walk out of the stalls and into the pasture before I walk into the house.
It takes about thirty minutes in total each morning and night.
