Hey hon! I like the tater salad like we used to eat at family reunions so I have to say American.

My mother was German and made the best -
But I have to say I like American better if the taters are cooked all the way, I hate it when they are only cooked 1/2 way , usually I make mine out of left over mashed potatoes all creamy and smooth

American or Dutch potato salad will make me quite ill because of the mayonnaise, which I'm allergic to.
