Vitamin B, L-Carnitine, Ginseng. They add the ingredient just like the makers of other drinks add their ingredients. I don't know of any ingredient which adds to body repair.

Energy drinks like Gatorade® and Powerade® use glucose (sugar) to provide energy quickly to the muscles. Because sugar is short-lasting, the resulting energy burst is also short-lasting (hence the term "sugar crash"). Many athletes who use these energy drinks dilute them so they are not getting so much sugar all at once and to prevent dehydration (too much sugar does not help with hydrating the body). Because the "high" and the "crash" happen so quickly, they often do not contribute greatly to muscle repair. These energy drinks do, however, replenish some electrolytes lost through sweating. Building muscle tissue requires the muscle tissue's building blocks, i.e., amino acids = protein. That is why body builders drink protein shakes after heavy workouts.
