Do the Democrats realize that those they currently have in power are the rich elite who want to convert America into a socialist country and portion out money to all in the amounts that they feel you deserve (which wouldn't be much) and watch you toil and work all day while they themselves sit on the plantation porch (Congress/White House) drinking a mint julep and living off of a Heinz fortune?

Those Democrats in power positions know that socialism is a way to control the peasants. Those not in power positions believe that socialism can be paid for by the rich. These people believe that security is better than freedom, or if they they are financially secure, that the government is responsible to make sure that everyone has everything.
The definition of a liberal is, someone who wants to help others but with your money. If all the liberals got together and pooled "their" money for social action programs, that would be fine. The problem is that they want to finance their social agenda with someone elses money - yours!

His No Child Left Behind, is leaving all children, who attend public schools, behind.
His Iraq war is killing more and more US soldiers and the war was declared a victory years ago.
His views on environmental issues are a joke. He wouldn't care if the land looked like something out of a science fiction movie, except for on his beloved ranch, where he has spent a huge part of his presidency.
Bush and Cheney are the rich and elite, and he is making sure you will never join him at that table!

No, and I don't think that the average member of either party realizes that we've long since fulfilled Alexis deTocqueville's prediction that we'd remain a free country until the politicians learned how to bribe the people with their own money.

Both Bush and Kerry went to Yale and are members of "Skull and Bones".
Schwarzenegger is married into Ted Kennedy's family.
Don't allow yourself to be carried away with the latest political fad raging on cable/radio.
