Because he does not have quarterback skills. Yes, he's a tremendous athlete, but he is not suited for quarterback. He could be a great running back, receiver, or defensive back because of his athletic ability, but because he has a strong arm, someone thought he would develop as a quarterback.
It seems like people keep waiting for him to develop, but it's his sixth year, he's had plenty of playing time at QB, he is what he is, mediocore quarterback. He can still break off a big run, but defenses have adjusted for the most part, and he's not the threat he used to be.
He is also short for QB, six feet tall, so that doesn't help either. It seems like every receiver who goes to Atlanta (like Peerless Price) seems to go downhill. It's not their fault.
I am a Giants fan, and saw the game today. Whenever Vick throws you breath a sigh of relief, as he completes half of his passes, and has a chance of throwing an INT on the ones he misses. They won't win a Super Bowl with him at QB, he doesn't have the skills or ability to lead the team on the field.

He has a very strong arm but he sometimes can't just put it just where the recivers can get it. Also he depends so much on his athletic ability to run that sometimes he disregards the pass. He should work on it A.S.A.P, because he won't be able to run like he is forever. But he is a very good player

He wasnt when he first started out, but when he realized he could suceed, win, and be famous by running the ball and scrambling, he put all his time and effort into becoming more effective at that, and totally neglected his already average passing game

Because he has all power and no accuracy, and because he concentrates on running the ball (as do the rest of the falcons)

He's not a thinking man's quarterback...give him couple more years or injuries and he will wise up and learn to read defenses better...too bad they can't mix his athletic ability with a thinker...would be damn awesome
