3d-24-5=9d=18=1???? Looks like a typo. I'll assume the last two "=" are errors and should have been pluses (since it's on the same key).

3d-24-5 = 9d+18+1
Get the d's on one side (subtract 9d from each side)
3d - 9d - 24 - 5 = 18 + 1
Add/subtract
-6d - 29 = 19
add 29 to each side
-6d = 48
divide by -6
d = -8

I think u have typed wrong
how 18 = 1 ????
but if u meant
3d - 24 - 5 = 9d +18 + 1 it can be done
3d - 29 = 9d + 19
9d - 3d = -48
6d = -48
d = -8
