Sometimes you have to audition, so a good singing voice is key. When I was 12, I joined a group of singers at church who were mostly my age and up, and I sang with them until I went off to college. When I got to college, I had to audition for the college choir (I made it in!), and I sang with them until I graduated.

It depends on what the rules are for that choir. Express your interest to the choir director and ask what the process is to get into the group. Good luck.

Find out what day of the week the choir practices. Then show up to the meeting. That should be about it.
