if you're on the pill you can skip the last 7 days of your pill cycle and start a new pack. You wont get your period. Then just take your pills normal again. Women have done it lots for honeymoons and special occasions. pretty common.
If you aren't on the pill...i have no idea.

Since it's next week, it's too late to get a prescription for the pill and try and skip your period that way. If you are currently taking the pill, you can safely skip your placebo week. There's nothing wrong with period sex though and sex actually helps cramps. Throw down a towel and take a shower together.

if you are using birth control pills, begin a brand new pack on the day that you should start taking the inactive pills. this will prevent you from having a period. you may experience some spotting, but that should be it.

There is the relatively new pill that eliminates periods for 2 months. Ask a druggist or a doctor.

if you're on the pill, you can skip the placebo pill week and start on a new pack immediately. if not, they make a menstral cup that is disposable and you put it in temporarily (it's about $10 for 24). http://www.softcup.com

Not really....if it happens, it happens. You can't really stop it, although unfortunate.
