I believe the two go hand in hand. You have to have both to make a marriage work.

Trust is the cornerstone of the relationship. With no trust sex, love, or whatever will not work. The next piece of the relationship is communication. No communication or poor communication will bring the relationship down. So yes trust is really the most important but you have to have love to start the whole thing. If you marry just for trust and no love then your heart isn't happy and you have betrayed that trust.

I disagree with that. Trust is very important don't doubt that once. But you can lose trust and get it back a lot easier than if you fall out of love. I also believe that trust is part of what defines love. Love in itself cannot stand on its own. Love is a single word or concept that has many parts, one which is trust.

I think love and trust is equally important because without both you can't really have a relationship. Love and trust goes hand in hand with each other.

Disagree, love is more important than trust in a relationship because you can love even you don't trust that person. Love covers a multitude of sins. Love doesn't fade easily and gets stronger and deeper and relationship is sustained even if love is not returned. Whereas in trust once destroyed, it is difficult to gain it back even if love exist in that relationship. For me, love is important because it prevails against all odds.

Hi, my name is Eunice Saunders and I agree....if there is no trust there is no love! People call all sorts of things love but not many people know what real love is! Below is what the Bible has to say what real love is....if you ever find this kind of love you will have a great treasure....the best place to look for this kind of love is to learn how to love like this...then it will find you! Good Love to you!

1 Corinthians - Chapter 13
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self‑seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will all disappear.

Disagree. Trust is just as important as love in a relationship. Yeah, you can have one without the other but that type of relationship belongs in a platonic, non committed relationship. A loving relationship and a trusting relationship should be the same relationship when talking about your mate.

Trust is more important cause w/o trust how can you really be in love with someone. I think you can love a person w/o trust but can you be IN LOVE with them?

Disagree, Although I believe that trust is vital for a relationship. I would not say it is more important than love. I believe that trust is vital for love, and love is vital for a meaningful relationship.
