I live in hawaii and was shuck up by the 6.6 earthquake this morning. I have a loved one who is stuck at the honolulu airport since 11am and there not letting anyone out. The radio and news is saying nothing...does anyone please have any information on when it will open or when they will let the passangers leave!!?!? PLEASE! Thank you so much!

some of the articles on the web are talking about potential bridge and road damage as well as some landslides. maybe they want to insure a safe exit route before they turn people loose.

I love Hawaii. When I was there I stayed at Waikiki. The shopping there is excellent its not too expensive U can easily find some really nice things, great deals & cheap souvenirs. Not only is Hawaii breath takingly beautiful & their history & culture is fascinating, the hula dance is shocking, U literally walk way blown away! (The islanders are very conceited about this & will blow U off On the other hand the bus drivers are extremely rude and can literally ruin your day. U will probably want to rent a car anyways because the bus doesn't always stop at every scenic stop & believe me U will want to get out & see everything! Another thing I didn't enjoy was the weather. It is too hot (for me) to enjoy anything. (I went in September.) I really wasn't expecting it 2 B that hot. So don't pack a coat or sweater. For me at night it was way too hot & it seemed to be even hotter at night. I was looking forward to a cool night breeze, there is none! Next time I'm going in Feburary!
