AND can a CD-R work?

Easy....Open the Word File....click "File"----> "Save As" and then save it to the directory of your (formatted) CD.

Note: you might want to consider using a CD-RW instead of CD-R. Once you burn a CD-R you can't add or delete anything else to or from it!

Just open your CD burning software. It should let you browse for the file you want to save. You will put it in the area which list files to be burned. Click on "burn." Wait for the process. A flash drive is alot quicker and easier. I think that computer CD's will soon be a thing of the past.

open your burning software like nero or roxio. click that you want to make a data cd. Then click add files or browse and locate it and put it in. Then just burn. Or if you are runnin XP locate the ifle in your documents. And hilight it (1 click) and near the top on the left should be some options..like burn this file to cd..move this file. CLick copy this item to cd and it should put it on your cd. cd-r will work just fine.
