You don't get cavities from eating a candy or other sweet stuff!
You get cavities from not brushing and flossing your teeth.
Go, have a candy, be good to yourself!
Brush your teeth and floss before you go to sleep.

There's nothing wrong with candy if you don't sit there and eat it like a porker.
Brushing your teeth never hurts either.
Candy can only cause cavaties if you're so lazy you can't take 2 minutes to move one of your wrists up and down maybe a hundred times twice a day at least.
Moderation is the key. Eat candy, in moderation.

You should not stop candy completely, just eat in moderation, reduce your amount of intake so you don't see it as an abstainence more like a cahnge in eating habit. reduce the amount gradually, so you don't feel that you denying yourself, just naturally eating less without being conscious of it.
