I keep seeing those commercials wont killing yourself defeats the point if taking that pill? I just think it’s odd that you would take a drug that could have side effects worse than the problem that they are trying to fix. I guess all these drug companies want is to make you take more pills for more problems...

Just wanted to add the homeopathic perspective, which is that that which can cure can also cause. It is because these drugs alter the brain chemistry in an attempt to get a person out of his or her depressed state. This is just one of many possible side effect of the changes.

When someone is severely depressed, they have no energy or drive to do anything, including commit suicide. Once the anti-depressant is started, the person starts to climb out of the deeply depressed state. It is at this point in time when the person feels "just good enough" to have the energy and drive to commit the act.

that depends either the cause is physical or psycic,
all drug antidepressant r shynthetic having side effects,

the pill doesn't make you want to kill yourself, going off the pills makes you want to kill yourself. IF you are on anti depressants, don't go off with out your doctors help

thats a NEGATIVE side affect, its not meant to do that. you have to stop immediately if you get that affect.
