only if they cannot think for themselves.

Point taken.
It is true to a certain degree but sometimes it's self-inflicted.
And no it doesn't constrain itself to just celebrities but people like you & me.
It's human nature I guess.
Envy is an ugly trait for most. As you've mentioned society place much emphasis on status above all else.
Everything these days is dictated by having the right clothes, bag, car, house, job, spouse, etc.
The most important thing to remember is although it's nice to know you can afford such luxuries now and again... never forget who you are and where you came from.

Don't know where you got that idea. From my intensive research on the matter i've found that Republican women are hotter than democrat women and therefore by default have a higher self esteem. Additionally, I never hear of Republican women whining about getting free stuff like contraception. That tells me they actually have a sense of personal responsibility too.

Seems that you would already suffer from low self esteem if you took those characters sufficiently to heart to enter into a peeing contest with them.
They tend to be vain, shallow and prove the point that beauty is not skin deep.

Then I say stop going to the movies, and turn the TV off. NO ONE can make YOU feel anything. It's all up to you as to how you feel. Confidence comes from with-in. If that skinny model, or that buff dude makes some one feel lees of a person, then buff up, or become skinny. But then, we'd all look alike. Feelings are ones own responsibility. Don't allow anyone to "make" you feel anything. Take charge and keep that chin held high. God made you in His image. And He doesn't make junk.

we suffer from self esteem because we dont love ourself...the people around us make us feel insecure...not actors or famous people it doesnt make it better but it dont begin there.... mosyly friends or family is where it starts....then insecurity sets in....it begins when we r young and the clicks start in school and people treat u as if u dont matter if ur not popular or have money....its rediculous...

Some people do. When they see how good these models and actors/actoresses look, it might make them feel bad about themselves and how they look. They think about how beautiful these people look and how bad they look in comparison. That is what I think, though.
