It's very sad, really, that men have been conditioned not to show hurt emotions. We women have that advantage, we don't have others however. Everyone that lives in a sexist/racist/ageist society is affected, not just the oppressed.

Peace.

Crying is normal for men even if men don't tend to show it.

Now there is a difference between crying like a real man and crying like a baby. The first is the normal one, the one that naturally comes when so stirred by emotions of deep remorse, or grief, or even love, to name a few. The second one is akin to blubbering over spilled milk; that is, an inability to cope with even the simplest of adult matters.

I think it is sad when a man refuses to cry -- it usually means that he has a seared heart. However, it is even more so when a male who should be an adult curls over in the fetal position whenever something wrong comes his way.

Well, I think yoru asking if a real man cries. And I'd say, ya.
But not much.
A guy can't go around crying all the time, but sure.

I've cried when a girl I really liked moved across the country. It sucked, but I'm ok now. I didn't like, cry in front of anyone, but yeah, it happens.
Guys have emotions too!

i agree - i think real men cry. seeing my dad cry just touches me in a different way than seeing my mom cry. b/c there is social stigma attached to men crying in front of women (they are sometimes seen as babies or wusses), so when i see my dad cry, it's like he's breaking social stigma and really being himself against all odds. that lets me know how strong he is, and how secure he is with himself.

All men cry, we just don't want you to see it because we have been conditioned to believe that we are sissies if we show emotion.
