When I was in junior high, I had a boyfriend (from another school) with the same problem. He was dyslexic and had ADHD, and everyone treated him like he was mentally handicapped because he had a few special needs. It was really frustrating, because he was an extremely bright kid and very funny - he just wasn't that great at schoolwork because he had trouble reading and writing, and concentrating. It was even suggested it wasn't appropriate for me to go out with such a "handicapped" boy! Anyway, 10 years later, he is doing fine and running his own business as a horse breeder and trainer.

Gosh people these days are so mean....anyways since it's not helping much by telling people your not handicapped then why don't you show them that your not handicapped by doing something that not alto of special people can do. If not have your parents take this up to the school board or the school. It's not right that people are treating you different especially when they don't have a doctors note saying your mentally handicapped. well I wish you luck and the best to come out of this situation.
Ciao~

Don't worry, you are not alone. Can you imagine how many of people right now on the computers are handicapped for real.
They waist the time looking on any question to kill the lonely and no future time of their liefs. They don't have any family or friends who even want talk to them. Cockroaches on the computers. You are young you have parents - you think what you think and you are OK. Value yourself not some people opinion. You'll be successful just get some goals to go for it.

The subject gave gave could be an extremely perplexing determination. yet, i think of they could use it for people who carry a greater possibility to stay then every person else. that is unhappy, yet it quite is become human nature is approximately. If those 10 human beings have been caught on a desolate tract island and the only, weakest individual needed 9, they'd not do it. basic and straightforward. Others one listed under are no longer precisely analyzing the subject. whilst circumstances come to desperate measures, the optimal will stay to tell the tale. In ever day existence notwithstanding, i think of they could pass to any lengths to attempt to make the the antidotes to final whether it ability breaking them up. that is in simple terms like a narrative of mixed twins. in case you have mixed twines and that they the two will die without being separated what could you do? If one toddler had to die, could you do the surgical treatment or enable them to the two die very slowly. One twin being the host and feeding off the existence of the different. This does carry some interest. could you save one individual to enable 9 others die? No could you save 9 human beings to enable one die? perhaps notwithstanding it you had to opt for, that must be perplexing thank you for this, ia caudally examine the completed subject this time.

In due time they will realize how wrong they were to treat you like that. Don't be affected by them. Study harder. When you have assignments, do them, study them carefully, and when you have the opportunity in your class to answer questions about them, raise your hand immediately and answer them smartly. Continue doing that and sooner or later, they will find out that you were not what they thought you were.
That's one bad thing about other people. They judge people immediately without valid reasons. But don't hate them for that. Remember this: No one has the inherent right to judge others. You have all the right in the world to act, decide and think for yourself. You are not accountable to anybody for what you think and do but only to God.
If that's the way they look at you, show them that they are wrong. Be smart as often as possible. When they see that, their thoughts about you will be reversed, believe me. All the best.

Is there a larger issue? Are you having problems with other kids at school? 8th grade is really hard, I know that. Middle school kids are the cruelest. If you wanna talk you can e-mail me. Maybe I can help even just a little.

you know better than anyone else who you are. You don't have to prove yourself to anyone. We sometimes make things worse by reacting to everything. Just be yourself and ppl will realize this in time OR not. does it make any difference? maybe you can respond by talking s l o w l y if someone talks to you that way :) a little sense of humor will not kill.

you write like you are older than 14. i don't see any problem with what you just wrote here. it doesn't sound like you are mentally handicapped. ask your counselor how to respond to the way people are treating you.

I would definitely confront them each time they do that to you. Don't let them get away with it.People should be held accountable for the things they say and do.You spelled everything great so I don't see any learning disabilities.

tell them you're not mentally handicapped, and show it by doing something like spelling a really hard word or something, or finishing a hard math problem fast.
