I think it all started when women booted men out of their proper places in the scheme of things. This caused them to stop being the men God intended them to be. ( Not that all is hopeless for them. Strong men can recoup.) What do you think?

I agree with you. I'd like to add that, as a society, life is so rushed for us and everyone is looking for a quick fix. The true family values have gotten lost with women's lib, easy divorce, lax religious practice and the all important need for a double income household. Daycares, nannies and God-knows- whos are raising our kids for us. We are raising a group of self entitled robots. The world has definately become a different place from the innocent times of the 50's, for example.

They have always been dysfunctional we just didn't have a term for it. to believe that women booted men out of there place is a little naive,because not all men have the same idea that they should be in command. Marriage is a compromise between two people who love each other.

You're kidding, right? You think that it was better when women were 'trapped' in homes and men we're held 100% responsible for supporing a wife and kids (and the dumb dog)? Don't you think it's a better world where everyone in the family contributes in some way? Where everyone is able to reach their full potential for whatever God-given talent they were born with? Come on... think!

Oh please! You have got to be kidding me? Dysfunction has always been a part of life at any given time especially if you are European because of all the brilliant hangings of innocent people and all sorts of inhumane ways of treatment! Your going to tell me that that was "normal"? You need to find a way to get out of your Dark Ages way of thinking for heavens sake. Please seek some help immediately!
