So she said she doesn't but I've smelt smoke on her before. And today when I was looking for a pair of toe nail cutters in my dad's work bag I found a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
So my question is: How should I bring it up and ask if she still smokes and if my dad smokes?

I've told her I hated that she did it when I caught her smoking with friends. She said she stopped that very day because she saw that I was crying...my grandpa is dying from lung cancer because he smoked so now I have a great fear of smoke and I dont want to see my parents go through what my grandpa is going through.

for me the best way is just go straight up...direct to the point. confront them.

they're your parents and you deserve to know the truth...and they need to know how you feel about them smoking. :)

You can ask, but don't be to critical! Smoking is a very hard thing to give up! Try to be supportive and helpful. I know when people nag me it only makes me want to smoke more!
