Download WinRar on download.com (maybe downloads.com?). Then open winrar and there should be some kind of button that says something like unpack or unzip or open. It's fairly big and hard to miss. Anyways after that look for the file and open it in WinRar. It will be unzipped and then you can use the new file types with the appropriate programs.

Look online for a utility program called WINRAR. It will allow you to open RAR files.

.rar file are something like .zip files....they are compressed...just like u unzip a .zip file, u will have to unrar a .rar file...
to unrar u need a software like winrar..u can download that software at http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
