Im interested to know what cutting paste is made of. How easy it would be to make. What are the components in cutting paste.

to polish aluminium we use jewlers roughe (SP) and mineral spirits

Why make it? Look for Duco cutting compound and polishing compound in auto parts or paints stores. s/b sufficient for most jobs, since you are refinishing boats or cars. See if there is a substance list on side of the can, and get inventive.
Pumice and emery powder is available at sandblasting supply shops in sizable quantities, even fine sand. Check with the shop for medium, also available in selected viscosities. Stir up only what you need daily; homebrew does not store well.
