I feel blue a lot because it's my favorite color, but it's not always a bad thing. I suppose a sad smurf might be purple.

in view that human is produced from distinctive "organic epidermis" colors and purple flesh, the blood is purple and the choice shade of purple is blue for the TURNDOWN... properly, in view that smurfs are blue-skins and in all probability blue/aquatone/turquoise/indigo flesh, then their TURNDOWN shade must be opposite from them, so its purple; or perhaps a FUSION of purple + BLUE ==> pink/VIOLET...
