The group of 6 could go as the Brady Bunch kids. Or the Partridge Family. A couple could be the following: Mulder and Scully, Boris and Natasha, Steed and Mrs. Peel, Bonnie and Clyde, or Gomez and Mortisha Addams. Or Herman and Lily Munster.

I like that idea a lot. Just have couples pick out of a hat and tell them to get over it! Absurd- You need to disassociate yourself from religion and modern halloween. Its a holiday that people can have fun, and not actually worship the devil. You were probably one of those parents that wouldn't let your poor kid watch Harry Potter movies... it's up to the parents to teach their kids what is real and make believe- not punish them from having fun.
