If I were you, I would consult my pediatrician ASAP. Most babies walk around 12 months.

Was your daughter premature at birth? My daughter was born at 34 weeks and didn't take her first steps until she was 15 1/2 month's and my sister was born at 26 week and didn't walk until 18 months. Our pediatrician said not to become concerned until the 18 month milestones had past and no improvement. Some minor tests may need to be taken. I would think that she should have more balance and stand straight at this point though. Maybe an inner ear problem? I know with my children that an inner ear problem or infection can lead to problems with their balance and equilibrium. I hope all turns out well. Good luck and keep working with her all children learn in their own time their own way.

Your baby could be developmentally delayed. My cousins baby did not walk until 19 months. FYI my cousin is a neo natal nurse practitioner and was not worried about her son's development. Some babies just take a little longer to get moving. A call to your pediatrician would be a good start and maybe physical therapy would help. It seems like she should be able to stand with assistance at this point and pull herself up and creep along furniture. Does she at least do that? Let's hope it's that simple. Will keep you in my thoughts. Good luck!

My cousins baby didn't walk until he was 18 months old. He's just fine. Some babies take a little longer. Don't worry mom, she'll walk pretty soon. Just hold both of her hands and help her take steps to strengthen the muscles in her legs a little more.
