I hope someone has an answer; this is one of the strangest questions I've ever seen.

There is a self-published piece of tripe out there somewhere by a deranged Confederate apologist claiming that Pres Lincoln was homosexual (not the same as a cross-dresser, I know) but not offering any proof; I wonder if this is what your instructor was aiming for?
