My first two kids took naps like clockwork. Twice a day, every day for two hours at a time. If I lost track of time, they would lay on the floor next to their cribs and fall asleep while I was doing dishes or something. I was very spoiled!
Now I have a 15 month old cutie that usually takes at least one short nap, but won't do so unless I lay down with her. So I snuggle up with her and I usually doze off for a while too. It bothered me at first. There were so many other things I could get done while she was napping, but now I don't care. I look forward to our nap time together. She's so cute and cuddly and sometimes snores just the slightest little bit. Besides, I'll never get this time with her back and they grow up so fast! Even if she doesn't sleep, it nice to have some quiet cuddle time.
I guess my point is, all kids are different. I honestly wouldn't worry about it if I were you. She'll sleep when she's tired. At least she sleeps well at night. Lots of parents would give their right arm for that! Just enjoy the extra time with her. Before you know it, she'll be off to school all day and you'll miss having her home. Good luck!

My 7 month old has his days too! I have a few baby books I use for guidance and they say that all babies are different. Some will take a long 2 - 3 hour nap once a day, some take a couple short naps, and some rarely nap at all. As long as they get the recomended amount of sleep throughout the day including the night which I think is 14 - 16 hours at that age then they should be fine. I would still check with your doctor though to be sure. Good luck to you!

My five month old does the same a few days a week... especially on the weekends when dad is home to play! I try to keep him on a schedule of a nap about 1 1/2 hours after waking and then again at about 12:30. If these two naps are short he gets another around 3pm. Regardless of wether he sleeps or not, I leave him in his crib for at least 45 minutes. Sometimes he'll finally fall asleep, and other times he just plays quietly and giggles. Even if he doesn't sleep, the downtime seems to do him well.
Good luck!

What a blessing to have a baby that sleeps that long through the night.
A 6 month old still needs a morning and afternoon nap. In my opinion, you need to establish a good schedule and stick to it no matter what.
for eg: if she gets up at say 7:00am, you get her up, dress and feed and play , take a walk or whatever you like. At 10:30am, feed and change and put down for a nap. This can be short - say 1;/2 hour to an hour, but don't disturb her, just let her roll and coo if she wants.
get her up if she is wide awake about 11:30 - change and play - feed if she is breast feeding and play.
about 1:30 or so- she needs another nap. My kids all napped about 2 - 3 hours in the afternoon, but every child varies.
same deal - let her roll and coo if she likes, just leave her alone.
get her up about 3:00 and change, feed etc, and then do your regular afternoon routine with her.
feed, bath and bed by 7.
them's my sentiments.
blessings for a long and happy life together with your lovely daughter.

It's because she sleeps all night long and for 12 hours. My son is almost 5 months and he takes maybe 2 naps a day that last no longer then 30 minutes but he sleeps all night. To me that is a blessing! I would rather him sleep all night and barely nap then him nap all day and then get up at night.

Some kids don't nap. You might try not letting her sleep 12 hour nights and see if that helps increase her 1 nap time a day. My kids were great nappers, but my niece and nephew seldom took naps even as infants.

Leave her in the crib as long as she is not screaming and crying! Sometimes they will fall asleep on their own. My son is 9 months old and will nap one to times a day. He will take one long nap and one short one....

possibly she needs to play. She must be teething, possibly that's why she wont consume or take a bottle. stable luck, it quite is going to bypass. she can bypass to sleep whilst she is drained adequate. in simple terms play along with her. Naps replace as your toddler grows. She may be waiting to unfastened one nap and in basic terms have 2. stable luck
