It depends. What quality of paint, quality of labor. Can be anywhere from $8 to $5000. From two cans of spray paint in the backyard by yourself, to an expensive gloss, put on by a professional with decals or racing stripes.

Oh just take it to Maaco, You drive the car into a booth, roll up your windows so the paint does not get on you, then they spray away. Spray everything, does not matter to them. the cost is cheap. But dont take it to a car wash or the paint will wash off, I have seen this happen.

Watch out for those specials like $39.95. That's for a paint job right over the dirt and just the way you take it to the shop. Not even a wash job. Check out first what the price includes. Usually the price advertised is just to get you to come in and not the job you will get. It's like the promises made during the presidential campaign and not what you are receiving now. DO YOU REMEMBER ALL THOSE FREE THINGS THAT WERE PROMISED.

For a cheap job, probably around $200. but for a very nice coat or two of black, around $500 or $600.
