It's not a good idea to use commercial wart remove on genital warts. And yes, much as you don't like that idea- that's what you have. The virus family that causes warts is a large one, and each member of the family likes a particular spot on the body. Genital just means that's where they are located- not the strain, or member of the family that caused them. You will need a doctor's help to remove them safely. The doctor will most likely use a liquid called podophyllin to remove them. It may take a couple of treatments, but it is the safest way to go about this. In the meantime, yes- your warts are contagious and you should not have sex with your girlfriend until they are cleared off. Then, to be safest for your girlfriend, you need to be sure to tell her and to wear a condom. Depending on what strain of HPV you have, you could give her cervical HPV. That's not a problem for you, but it could be a big problem for her. Be a nice guy, and get treated and clear first. Then wear a condom, and tell her.

Yips, if you have warts on your penis you need to see a doctor. These are an std. And the last time I heard they burn them off. Ouch!!! Be careful where you put your thing until you do, you can spread them to your partner. And no kissy facing either.

Genital warts and regular warts are not the same. What works for one won't work for the other.

No, don't use it on either.See a dermatologist and he can provide certain types of steroid creams that are safe to use in these areas.
