i like a lot but here are a few!
My Chemical Romance~[Gerard] "If for one minute you think you're better than a sixteen year old girl in a Green Day t-shirt, you are sorely mistaken. Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band. You wore their shirt, and sang every word. You didn't know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about."

Davey havok,AFI~"You say I'm a fag because I wear make-up, I say your queer because you wear blue jeans."

Tyson,AAR~"The dumbest thing is when fans get so nervous that they treat you like ****. I'm so fascinated by it. I'll be like, "Did ya enjoy the show?" and they'll be like, "Eh." They figure everyone is adoring you, so they'll take the opposite approach. At the very end, they're bummed that they acted the way they did, and it breaks my heart."
and another from Tyson ""Yeah, and everybody who moves out to L.A. gets that Hollywood thing in their blood, and their second record always sounds like s**t.And if we end up there,we take it back."
and tons more!

Rent the movie "This is Spinal Tap".

Nigel’s (lead singer of fake band in the movie) key to keeping Tap among England’s loudest bands. He pointed out to director Marty DiBergi that the settings on Tap’s Marshall amps could extend beyond the standard 10 mark. Nigel: "You see, most blokes will be playing at 10. You’re on 10, all the way up, all the way up...Where can you go from there? Nowhere. What we do, is if we need that extra push over the cliff...Eleven. One louder." DiBergi: "Why don’t you just make 10 louder and make 10 be the top number, and make that a little louder?" Nigel (after taking a moment to let this sink in): "These go to 11."

i loveee that quote too! yet my favrite... it is not precisely one quote, notwithstanding it become in an interview... Which of your band friends is maximum possibly to by twist of destiny stick a fork in a toaster? Frank: Mikey. And who could yell 'whats up! that is nevertheless plugged in!'? Mikey: that must be me. Gerard: i could genuinely be the only yelling. i think of we are all very protecting of Mikey for issues like sticking forks in toasters. Frank: that is humorous because of fact as quickly as we've been recording, me and Mikey lived mutually and that i could pass to Gerard after and be like, 'i'm able to't have self assurance he did this on the instant.' Mikey: Yeah, i could leave the tea on in one day. Frank: God forbid that youngster ever lives on my own! Gerard: He had to vow he could watch him because of fact he likes to try this ingredient the place he will take a heater into the bathe and plug it in... Frank: Oh god! Gerard: ...and there is water everywhere! Mikey: I did that one time... Gerard: What with regard to the circumstances with the radio? Mikey: ...and that i become fairly heat as quickly as I did it however.

Ive used it many times in my life, for myself & to others:
"Love for any time at all is worth the price we pay to fall"
Stone Ponies (Linda Rodstadt's, '68-70-ish, band), sorry the name of the song escapes me.
oo-yeah," cookie cut"--it IS better to burn out than to fade away--but I'm an oldie and a goodie, I remember Neil Young whining that at me.

"...it's better to burn out, than fade away..." Def Leppard
"...You think that I'll be bad for just a little while
.....I'm never gonna be what I should,
....And you THINK that I'll be BAD for just a little while
....But, I KNOW I'll be BAD FOR GOOD..." - Jim Steinman

Okay, those were from songs. I guess you want actual spoken quotes and normally I could think better than I can right now...lol

I like Lennon's statement, 'We're bigger than Jesus.' Pretty brave of him to say, and it cost the Fabs some fans in the southern US. But his point was that pop music can be as big or bigger than religious figures, with all of the fame and adoration that goes with it.
